Movie Review: The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies

THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW.

Hello readers,
I will be writing a review on this third and final sequel of The Hobbit, titled as The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies. Some people may also know this sequel as The Hobbit: There And Back Again. The film starred once again Martin Freeman as lovable Bilbo Baggins, his other adventurer pack and prominence creatures such as Elves, Smaug the dragon, Ogres (don't how to spell or I guess how the creatures looked) and Sauron the Necromancer.

For The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies, the film continues from the previous sequel where Smaug wanted to create terror in the town of Dale. Unforunately, I never knew this dragon would be killed off easily at the start of the film. Soon, the film concentrates on Thorin, who soon has an eye on his gold and the shiny, "rainbowy" jewel. The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies does not have much storyline, except there were cool fighting scenes. I mean synchronizing fighting tactics and "flipping".

Although the battle was an epic one, it was sad to see some characters who died on the spot, especially Thorin, since he fought to his last with the Ogre leader who was so invincible that he never died from being in the frozen water. Throughout the three films of the trilogy, Bilbo does not resolved to violence and instead, uses his knowledge and wisdom to help counter attack. The film has a shorter duration than the two previous films, which is good since most people can't sit for long in the cinema.

From 2012 to 2014, The Hobbit trilogy was indeed enjoyable and this new sequel was a good one to conclude the journey of the Hobbit. If you haven't watch this latest sequel, I reccomend that you grab a ticket, sit back and enjoy the fresh battles between the five armies!

Ratings: 6.5/10

P.S. The film may be worth it if you watched the beautiful sketches of The Hobbit at the ending credits and also enjoy the song by Billy Boyd.
